Keep "Christ" in Christmas
Today is December 12, it means we are going to celebrate Christmas soon. Many of us would probably has made a lot of preparation and decoration. I already can hear the melodies of Christmas song from supermarkets. Since I was a kid, I always waiting for this season in every end of the year, But personally, after I have learned the real meaning of Christmas and come to know more about Jesus, the shallow understanding of Christmas has come to an end. For me, now I would celebrate it any day or everyday if I could. But the date, 25th December is still important so that we won't forget that the Son of God has been born into the world to save us all. I just pray and hope that we all will not make idols besides God, such as the Christmas Tree, Santa and many things that is inappropriate and do not worth to be our idols. We should celebrate and worship the one and only who deserve it. While we are celebrating Christmas, I want to remind us all, to not to forget the unfortunate people such as the poor, fatherless and motherless children, widow and homeless. Let us also unite in prayer to pray for the victims of Typhoon disaster in the Philippines, those who have been displaced in Iraq and those are being persecuted all over the world.
